Modern medicine links the pulse rhythmic pulsations directly to the heart condition. Whereas in Vedic Medicine, these pulsations are linked to the functions of all body parts and organs. However, feeling and interpreting the pulse requires deep levels of sensitivity and skill. A Vedic Medical doctor feels the radial artery pulsations on the wrist of the patient using his three fingers (index, middle and ring) to evaluate the balanced and imbalanced conditions of three main bio-energies (flow, transforming, structural) that govern and control the overall functions of the body.

Sensing the rhythmic pulsations of these bio-energies, an experienced doctor can easily detect the activities of the entire body such as the movement of nutrients to various tissues in the body, the metabolic process which governs the activities of digestion, absorption and assimilation of nutrition, the functioning of bodily fluids, which govern the proper and healthy development of muscles and bones, and the possibility of accumulation of toxins in the intestinal tissues. He, also, can determine two basic readings:

  1. The first reading is the original state of the patient’s body constitution at the time of birth (Prakriti). This knowledge forms the basis of determining the patient’s healing process as well as the understanding of his or her physical and psychological strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies.
  1. The second reading is the current state of the patient’s body constitution (Vikriti), which may vary from the original state. The variation is the deviation that the body and mind have taken from the original state. This deviation constitutes the imbalances that have taken place in the body, which if prolonged and not restored to its original state, might lead to rise of ailments.

The consultation session includes:

  • An introduction to the fundamentals of Vedic Medicine
  • Pulse reading
  • Evaluation of the patient psycho-physiological well being
  • Lifestyle recommendations, which may include daily routine, diet and dietary habits, prescription of clinical therapy, management of mental, emotional and physical stress, etc.

Make sure to consider the followings before any consultation session:

  • Try not to eat for at least 2 hours before having a pulse diagnosis
  • Inform the doctor if you are taking any medications

In general, the consultation takes about 1.5 hours depending on the patient condition and need.

Subsequent follow-up consultation sessions are recommended to examine and monitor in details the activities, mood, diet, and other factors that may affect positively or negatively the progress of the patient state towards a balanced one, as well as to provide advice, support and adjustments to treatments.

According to Vedic Medicine, there is no universal proper diet formula for all. Each patient is unique in his or her constitutional requirements, nutritional needs, and specific imbalances at a given time.

A proper diet is one that takes all these factors into consideration to provide the necessary nutrients to nourish, balance, and maintain the highest functions of the patient’s psycho-physiology.

In our clinic, we provide guidelines to restore disorders in the patients’ body-mind that are primarily related to poor dietary habits, digestion and nutrition. In other words, we help patients re-establish the true meaning and purpose of food as a nourishment and disease-prevention tool through developing their awareness about:

  • the nature of food and its inherent qualities
  • the right amount and combination of foods
  • the digestion of food
  • the nutritional significance of the six different tastes
  • the healthy eating way
  • the right eating time during the day and throughout the seasons
  • the relation of mind, senses, emotions, behavior and digestion

It is believed that when the patient develops an understanding of all the above information, s/he starts to distance herself/ himself gradually from the cycle of overeating and improper nourishment.

Organic medications are authentic formulas prepared by highly qualified doctors, scientists, chemists and other experts using the highest quality of herbs and flowers and strictly following the techniques as described in the ancient Vedic Literature and texts.

These medications are natural, safe and effective. They are usually prescribed by Vedic Medical doctor as part of an individualized comprehensive program to treat imbalances or diseases at its source. They cause neither side effects nor physical or psychological dependence. They are made up of the pure extraction of herbs and flowers and distilled up to 100 times and then concentrated and condensed in a form of tablet, powder or liquid for efficient work at the deepest levels of the physiology. In addition, the agglomeration of the distillation of various herbs (up to 19 herbs) protects and preserves the buffering zone, which is the living environment of the crude extracted molecules to ensure no harm to the physiology or any side effects can ever happen.

Any use of wrong medication might lead to a concentration of one or more bio-energies leading to imbalance in the physiology. That is why it is necessary to follow the Vedic doctor’s advice to ensure the proper medicament is taken.
